Gluttony – The Speakeasy, Tue 21 Feb.

South Australia’s own, Michael Wilkop, brings a whole lot of magic back to the Adelaide Fringe! “Mickster the Trickster’ and his assistant Becky Lee put together a dazzling hour of mystical trickery and amazing illusions. Wilkop burst onto the stage with a combination of eye-popping tricks to catch the audience’s attention immediately and the energy never dropped off from there.Let's Get Trickier - Adelaide Fringe - The Clothesline

Underlined by a touching narrative about his journey as a magician from childhood, Wilkop gave the crowd more than just a magic show. There was not a dull moment for the whole performance, with a theatrical and comedic side to the act that kept the crowd upbeat and engaged throughout; the voice-overs during ‘intermission’ were even funny!

Be prepared to be involved in the thick of the magic, as Wilkop does a brilliant job of engaging with the crowd in a family-friendly manner from start to finish! The witty banter with all ages on stage was appropriate and suitable for young and old and genuinely funny as well. Throw in some seamless sound effects and musical touches from the tech team that were all on point and you’ve got a magical hour of entertainment from a performer with a brilliant stage presence.

Wilkop is also donating a portion of proceeds from each ticket sold to Headspace and Cancer Council SA, making this magical show already worth seeing, an opportunity to contribute to some worthwhile causes as well!
