Borders by Henry Naylor: An Intensely Compelling Look From Two Sides Of War – Adelaide Fringe Review
The Garden Of Unearthly Delights –Magic Mirror Spiegeltent, Sat 18 Mar.
The glamorous Magic Mirror Spiegeltent is the perfect backdrop for this elegant duo! It was completely magical absorbing the sounds of Katie Noonan’s silky voice and Karin Schaupp’s meticulously-played acoustic classical guitar. With closed eyes you might even imagine that the Spiegeltent was next door to Heaven – if it weren’t for the loud spruikers on the outside in The Garden Of Unearthly Delights!
Back inside the tent though, we are treated to an interesting, amusing, and well-balanced act showcasing each of their talents. The exploration of Latin skies took us to South America with a string of famous and not-so-famous-but-should-be songs. Some are performed in English, some in their original language, and Katie manages to pull off a very convincing Portuguese!
Songs Of The Latin Skies is a delightful show, and a classy way for lovers of cool Latin vibes to complete their Adelaide Fringe 2017 season.
Katie Noonan & Karin Schaupp ‘Songs Of The Latin Skies’ continues at The Garden Of Unearthly Delights –Magic Mirror Spiegeltent until Sat 18 Mar.
