Gluttony – The Speakeasy, Wed 17 Feb

The Vaude-Villainous Mr.Gørsky is a fast paced zany adventure. Performed by Daniel Gorsky (a.k.a. Jango from the ABC Kids’ Hoopla Doopla), it features enough stunts and tricks to keep kids of all ages amused. Through the sound effects of police sirens we are led to believe that Mr.Gørsky is on the run, apparently for being too entertaining. He then proceeds to perform a variety of acrobatic stunts, tricks and slapstick routines in order to prove that this attention from the authorities is warranted. The show reached its climax with some classic plate spinning tricks, the suspense from which had the audience right on the edge of their seat.

The show runs for 45 minutes which is long enough to entertain little people and their families, but not so long that younger audience members attention spans are exhausted. It also features a lot of loud music and sound effects which some smaller viewers or those with sensory issues could find overwhelming. Despite this, gasps of amazement and peals of laughter could be heard throughout the show and Mr.Gørskyis an entertaining show suitable for all the family.

Mr.Gørsky was really silly. I laughed lots”

“I really liked the tricks that Mr.Gørsky did. He was very clever to balance on his chair like that.”

“I was a bit scared when he was spinning the plates because I thought they were going to fall on the floor and break.”

Our family gave Mr.Gørsky 4 out of 5 thumbs up. If you get a chance, we recommend a viewing for some great laughs and thrills.
