Crown & Sceptre Hotel, Wed Feb 25

This evening’s audience was full of expectant punters… do the carpets match the drapes? But as I live with a redhead, I already know the answer to that question. Others will just have to wait and possibly find out at this show.

This burlesque production performed entirely by redheads (some natural, some created) is a look at the spirit, the soul if you will, of the redhead. Performances feature burlesque, comedy, dance and yes, even a little bit of fire.

Nowhere in the advertising did it mention that we would also be seeing some Boylesque, so whilst that was a bit of a surprise, there will be those readers out there who will go along and see this show now that they know.

A musical performance by another redhead was funny and poignant, and who knew that in times gone by redheads were thought to be the Children of Angels? Well, you can learn something new every day, and even if you think you have ‘seen it all before’ I’m sure you will learn something new at this production of Touched By Fire.

Touched By Fire continues at Crown & Sceptre Hotel until Sat Feb 28.
