Gluttony – Empyrean, Wed 24 Feb

An intertwined tale of a future king’s attempt to be crowned and an MC’s hilarious search for the “wife of his life,” William The Great provides some supreme story telling through acrobatics and comedy. William only has his coronation to go before being crowned as king, but his patience is put to the test as he becomes continually interrupted by some spectacular aerial skills and amazing acts of body strength.

The international blend of eccentric characters, featuring Canadian, Swiss and Australian artists, put on a combination of death defying pole, trapeze and rope tricks as they move toward the finale of William’s coronation. The artists even had to deal with a higher element of risk on the night on a slippery and rain-affected stage and they all handled it brilliantly.

Each performer brings a unique skill set to this act and the blend of acrobatics, dancing, magic tricks and some extremely funny interaction with the audience make this a thrilling and compelling show. This is a magnificent hour of acrobatic entertainment and storytelling that all ages will enjoy!
