[COMEDY – SA/VIC]

Ad-lib comedy is hard enough, but these lads quipped their way through an avalanche of double meanings with such style that they almost re-wrote the dictionary! Taylor Goodwin (fastest jokester 2015) hosted this pun-off, opening the show with a string of one-liners and a few groaners. Now there’s a man never lost for words!

Taylor introduced our contestants Russell Hartup and Josh Connor, who engaged us with their solo warm-ups, and then Class Clown Comedy winner Daniel Caldicott had a guest appearance – a young man with a very bright future. Then, the duelling began. Russell and Josh competed back and forth in six rounds, given un-known subjects by Taylor, until one contestant admitted defeat.

Russell sprouted some good jokes in the fruit and veg round, and Josh left a few jokes in the fridge long enough to go off ! Russell was clapped in as the winner by the audience, some of whom added their fair share of contributions and maybe could be in the next round of the championships!

Very Punny, go along and join in the fun.
