Selina Jenkins transforms into the bearded country music singer Beau Heartbreaker and remains as the kind and humorous fella so perfectly that it is hard now to imagine who Selina Jenkins actually is. The audience members flocking to the stage after the performance to speak further with Beau is an excellent indication that there has been a gentle, intimate and friendly atmosphere created. Beau Heartbreaker plays original songs on guitar and tells yarns about growing up on a dairy farm and an awkward trip to Mongolia. Selina Jenkins has an outstanding voice. It fitted perfectly with Beau’s charm and witty original lyrics. The guitar also sounded great. The beard, akubra hat, flannelette shirt and boots ensured Beau looked the part too. The whole experience was a pleasure to be part of; it was something different, yet so familiar and a show that would work around the country with a variety of audiences.
