About The Clothesline

The Clothesline is an independent online Adelaide Arts Magazine featuring interviews and reviews from Theatre, Cabaret, Comedy, Art Exhibitions, Children’s Performers, Social Interest Stories, Music and the many art Festivals that Adelaide presents and hosts; including Fringe, Adelaide Festival of the Arts, WOMADelaide, Cabaret Festival, Feast, OzAsia and many Food and Wine Festivals.

The Clothesline also features DVD, CD, Book and Movie reviews, along with competition prizes and giveaways.

Arts Journalist, Catherine Blanch, lived and loved thirteen years of writing and reviewing for one of Adelaide’s leading street press publications – Rip It Up Magazine; a job which included the mammoth task of coordinating and editing up to forty reviewers during the Adelaide Fringe and Festival. In that time she has interviewed local, national and international artists including Alice Cooper, Suzi Quatro, Ben Folds, Eddie Perfect, Ottmar Liebert, John Waters, Weird Al Yankovic, Leo Sayer, Storm Large, Lenny Henry, Howard Jones, Ross Noble, John Swan, Le Gateau Chocolat, The Magnets, Jon Stevens, iOTA, Wil Anderson, Judith Lucy, Toni Childs, Rodriguez, Adam Hills, Jimeoin, Tegan & Sara, Christopher Green, UB40, Human Nature, Danny Bhoy, John Butler and many more.

Along with friends and contacts in the media, publishing and promoting industries, as well as a plethora of national and international performers, Catherine Blanch is now relishing the opportunity to step out as Editor of The Clothesline digital arts magazine to create a fresh new look into the vibrant Adelaide Arts, Music and Comedy scene. With seasoned writers – already published in Rip It Up, The Adelaide Review and various publications from the UK and USA – The Clothesline will provide a gossip-free comprehensive look at what is happening in and around the Adelaide arts and festival scene.
