[COMEDY ~ AUS ~ IF YOU LOVE… TO LAUGH]
The Blue Room, Thu 20 Jun.
A Rational Fear has a podcast that may be familiar to quite a few people, and tonight they brought that to a live show; a live podcast recording.
Our hosts Dan Ilic (Hungry Beast), Lewis Hobba (Triple J) with musical comedy duo Bridie Connell and Wyatt Nixon-Lloyd (Tonightly With Tom Ballard) and DJ Dylabolical (The Chaser) are joined by special guest panellists Adelaide’s own former journalist and media advisor turned stand-up comedian Jon Brooks, and our adopted Adelaide’s former nurse Georgie Carroll.
The show is all about current affairs with a comedic twist, peoples’ opinions and just a good time. Be prepared to be involved, so bring some topics you need fixing! The matters covered tonight included Jon Brooks telling us how the left wing politics need a rebrand (maybe a Sunrise and a ‘Cash Cow’?) and to always back the horse called self-interest! Georgie Carroll covered potential germ warfare with hilarious apathy – nothing a plastic apron and gloves can’t protect you from, and Lewis Hobba made a desperate plea for the Logies to make a comeback – maybe in Adelaide!
ARIA winning Bridie and Wyatt enter early in the piece and are very entertaining and take suggestions from the audience of things that need fixing in Adelaide, public and personal agendas are offered and they return half an hour later with a song to fix/list the problems!
Such a fun night, get involved and enjoy! Sign up to the podcast, you won’t be disappointed!
