[COMEDY/Music ~ WORLD PREMIERE ~ IRE]

Corona Theatre at The Garden of Unearthly Delights, Sat 8 Mar.

I don’t know how but he’s done it again! Rob Broderick returns to blow your freaking minds with his lyrical and comedic genius. The whole premise of any Abandoman show is to make something out of nothing. He seeks out his suspects from the audience, asks them a few questions and then BOOM!… you have a hilarious song.

This year’s show takes us front row at Coachella as we are treated to many a song inspired by Lizzo, Drake and Macklemore just to name a few. This time round Rob was a one-man band, using his loop pedals and funky auto-tune gadget that makes him sound like T-Pain’s brother from another mother.

We got to meet future Rob and his entire family. He even dealt with an audience member complaining about the temperature in the tent, or as he liked to call it a ‘consumer complaint’, with sass, quick wit and of course, it got worked into a song. Not even technical difficulties could keep him down, he just kept going and working everything into the show and somehow made it all hilarious and had the audience it stitches.

Thinking about how Rob does it actually makes my brain hurt a little. This talented showman has been performing two shows a night for the whole festival. And the brilliant part about that is that no two shows will ever be the same! Please run, don’t walk, to get tickets to this show. You will not be disappointed.
