Adelaide Comedy Gala: Having A Laugh While Supporting A Great Cause ~ Adelaide Fringe 2019 Review

[COMEDY/EVENTS ~ SA] Arkaba Hotel – Top Of The Ark, Sun 24 Feb. The Adelaide Comedy Gala has graced our stages at the Adelaide Fringe for the past 10 years and has hosted a multitude of amazingly hilarious and selfless comedians who donated their time and talents to raise funding and awareness about bullying and violence in our communities. This year another fourteen comedians joined the Gala forces to continue raising funds and awareness for the Sammy D Foundation. This year’s line-up showcased some of the best comedians that the 2019 Adelaide Fringe has to offer, with all proceeds including ticket sales going directly to the Sammy D Foundation! Comedians: Michael Bowley, Hans The German, Nikki Osborne, Emily Grace, Jay Michael, Rich Naberhood (The Suburban Boy), Emma Hogan, James McCann, David Quirk, Marc Ryan (The Beautiful Bogan), Kelsey De Almeida, Sam Taunton, Ivan Aristeguieta, and last but not least Thomas Green, all donated their time and abundance of talent to support this priceless cause for the afternoon. Let’s not forget to mention the wonderful support of the many volunteers of the Sammy D Foundation who helped organise the event plus sold raffle tickets, mateship wristbands and Fruchocs, which increased the proceeds of the day. The funds raised will not only provide one thousand kids with the tools to combat bullying and violence, it will also allow a couple of young people to receive weekly mentoring sessions for six months! The full house crowd raised the Top of the Ark roof with side splitting laughter at every joke, punchline, facial expression and song! Sore cheeks were had by all at the end of an exceptionally entertaining Sunday afternoon. 5 stars Belinda James #ADLfringe
