Arj Barker’s “Get In My Head” Has Them In Hysterics At Arts Theatre – Adelaide Fringe Review

Arts Theatre, Wed Feb 18 It is always nice when the ‘big names’ don’t just come for one night and vanish. We are treated to 26 shows over Fringe when you can see Arj Barker, and I highly recommend that you do. Slick delivery with a spiel that covers everything from non-sexual boners, to comparative study on how Bob Marley would behave with 2015 quality dope including an hilarious medley of his songs, Arj delivers a show not for shock value but by relating to everyone in the audience in some way. No stone is left unturned with interesting debates as to whether a cat beach would be as successful as a dog beach, or whether his pebble collection really needed to be washed means you are constantly snorting at the nonsense of it all, but without feeling uncomfortable. Only one gentleman in the audience was singled out for questioning and was enviably given a free sticker sheet; more merchandise can be purchased after the show with the opportunity to meet him.
