[CHILDREN’S/CIRCUS ~ SA]
Gluttony – Parasol Lounge, Sat 23 Feb.
There are only four rules at the Best of Kids Fringe show – NO nose picking, NO butt picking, HAVE fun, and laugh lots! Our colourful host, Matt Grey puts everyone at ease and gives us a few giggles before sending out our first performer!
Adelaide’s own Mr Pineapple Head returns to his home town for our fabulous fringe. Apart from his plate spinning and his spectacular dog training, he delights the crowd young and old with his unicycle riding and juggling act. With many thanks to the two adult helpers, his star assistant from the crowd was a little man named Albert. With little comedic punchlines all through his act, he was a hit for the kids and parents alike.
Hula hooping sensation Hannah Cryle followed, her captivating rock and roll hula hooping feats left my eight year old son in jaw dropping awe, his words, “How can someone be so good with hula hoops?” Even more impressive is the fact that she is 22 weeks pregnant, so getting into the many flexible positions was jaw dropping awe for me!
Internet sensation James James is up next with his magic string, which had the children and adults alike astonished. And although some of his jokes were aimed more for the adults and went over the children’s heads, he was very entertaining.
Best of Kids Fringe continues at Gluttony – Parasol Lounge from 2.30pm until Sun 17 Mar.
