[CHILDREN’S/Circus ~ SA PREMIERE ~ INTERNATIONAL]

Empire Theatre at Gluttony, Sat 15 Feb.

The talented, world class duo and Fringe favourites Dr Bubble and the mischievous Milkshake are back to perform their brand new bubble show at this year’s Adelaide Fringe. The bountifully beautiful, bubble-ightful artistry is as seen on World’s Got Talent, Romania’s Got Talent and Bulgaria’s Got Talent.

Puppet Milkshake transforms to lady Milkshake and joins Dr Bubble on stage, where together they create the thousands of bubbles that are blown during the hour, in many shapes, sizes and forms. Whether huge, small, medium or multiple, each bubble is created using different instruments and techniques. For instance, bubble tennis with huge bubble hoops and a bubble ball, bubbles and smoke blown inside of bubbles, and even helium is used in bubbles which allows them to escape to the roof.

Along with the multitude of bubbles, important morals for adults and children alike come to fruition throughout the performance with the interesting use of a plastic bottle, carrot and cucumber: reduce, reuse, recycle. This is further supported by worldly images on the big screen, whilst peering through the looking glass…

Dr Bubble and Milkshake are extremely animated characters with their facials and sound effects adding to the humorous, bubbly hour, plus their vibrant coloured costumes are a sight to behold. This dynamic duo had the full attention of the entire audience in the packed venue from the first bubble to the very last.

This show is a must see for both the young and the young at heart at Adelaide Fringe 2020, but beware; bubble withdrawal upon the conclusion of the Bubble Show is a real thing! With the main symptom being tears, you can probably guarantee anyone leaving the Bubble Show crying is withdrawing already.
