The Garden Of Unearthly Delights – Umbrella Revolution, Fri 19 Feb

Eddie Ifft is ‘that’ comedian, controversial, topical, some may say offensive, some may say genius, however everyone in the Umbrella Revolution found Eddie to be hysterically funny. Eddie hit the stage running and this hour long show which started when he had the crowd crying with laughter within the first 20 seconds of him hitting the stage. Eddie definitely isn’t afraid to say what’s on his mind!

Topically nothing is sacred be it terrorism, religion, race, money, celebrity, sexuality which is why this man is a genius. Eddie recently became a father, this processes hasn’t softened this new daddy who includes the ‘other side’ of fatherhood that nobody in their right mind chooses to discusses openly. Most women would be appalled if they heard their husbands discussing such intimate details of motherhood and that whole process of conceiving, but Eddie’s banter is presented in a way that even the most serious person in this world couldn’t stop themselves from cracking a smile.

‘Shock and Awe’ is one way you could describe Eddie’s show but there are no negative intentions, this show is this shock and awe which is delivered in a contemporary facetious style. Eddie’s ability to think on his feet, his swift jocularity and sometimes sick sense of humour, timing and delivery is frightfully delightful.

This show is shockingly brilliant, sarcastic and extremely sardonic but I have to say delectably moreish. When it’s over you realise one hour isn’t enough when it comes to Australia’s love of Eddie Ifft, this is the guy you want to invite around for a beer and BBQ to hear his thoughts on EVERYTHING! I expect today that #ijustspunaweb will be trending!

Do yourself a favour and leave any preconceptions about anything you could ever imagine at the entrance and go see Eddie Ifft with an open mind. This show is pure GOLD!
