Gluttony’s Peacock, Wed Feb 18

What a great show this is! If you can only afford one show then try this mix of skilful acrobatics, three very skilled performers, feats of strength and agility, zombies, mad scientists, magic and potions, terrific soundtrack and awesome entertainment. The audience thoroughly enjoyed this ‘story’ of a science experiment using the elixir of life that transforms the person into a ‘superman’ capable of supreme tests of strength, agility and stamina.

The three performers show off their immaculately sculpted bodies in a series of breathtaking physical circus acts. Their incredible strength and balance is revealed in several very difficult acrobatic poses on the floor, done individually and in groups. The trust between the performers must be complete. They further increase the difficulty by introducing poles and balance acts involving ladders, trapeze and seesaw and an unbelievably good sequence using a large Cyr wheel. One performer playing a bit of a fool creates humour: the comic timing is perfect. The audience delighted in the various costume changes involving less rather than more and the music that accompanied the various acts especially the sequence to Thriller. It is worth it just to see such pretty underwear.

This all-ages audience was completely enthralled describing the show as ‘awesome’ and ‘absolutely incredible’. It is a very clever and well-designed show with more than just hilarious comedy. The audience is genuinely fearful for the performers at certain points because of the sheer difficulty of the acts. It leaves you feeling happy and satisfied that you’ve seen something special. A guaranteed fun show and well worth seeing.
