Garden At The Producers, Sat 4 Mar.

A couple of ‘white expats’ and a British-Indian ‘product of globalisation’ look to get away from the Brexit saga by taking over The Producers! The hilarious Ahir Shah hosted this three-man ‘British-ish’ line-up and he set the tone from the start with great crowd interaction, splitting the audience into two self-named teams of ‘Bell Property’ and ‘Nick Xenophon Team’.The Empire Strikes Back A British-ish Comedy Showcase sq - Adelaide Fringe 2017 - The Clothesline This had everyone engaged in the first few minutes of the show and the boisterous atmosphere never dropped off from there.

Fin Taylor (filling in for Pierre Novellie) anchored the middle of the show and ‘dabbled’ with a hysterical take on racism, sexism, left wing politics and all things vegan. Headliner Garrett Millerick then came out to end the show with a bang! His brilliant banter with the audience, animated facial expressions and the lively vocal punch to each of his jokes were a highlight of the show.

All three also had to deal with a robust male heckler who could politely be described as incomprehensible (heavily intoxicated) chiming in throughout the act. This only added to the show as all three comedians fired right back at the heckler with no hesitation, making for some hilarious exchanges. The three ‘British-ish’ lads put together an entertaining show to end (or start) a night out; just be careful sitting in the second row!
