[THEATRE/Comedy ~ QLD]
Terrace Ballroom at Stamford Plaza Adelaide, Sun 23 Feb.
Before you read this review, know that I love Fawlty Towers the TV series.
Tonight’s experience was impressive, the mannerisms and the speech of Rob Langston, Anthony Sottile and Rebecca Fortuna as Basil, Manuel and Sybil left me believing that it was John Cleese, Prunella Scales and Andrew Sachs themselves.
Although I’m sure the basic thread of the show is followed, no two shows will be alike as the interaction between the cast and the audience is such a personal thing, which makes the night that much more entertaining.
The food was scrumptious and the show is really entertaining. What better way to spend two hours, grab your friends, book a table and enjoy an evening with the crew from Faulty Towers. Even if you don’t know the show (hard to believe), the belly laughs you will experience from this show will get you on to YouTube to watch all 12 episodes of the iconic series.
The laughter is absolutely genuine from the audience and in fact I had tears of laughter running down my face, and to compound the fact that we feel so good from all the laughter, the production is collecting donations for a very deserving charity, Clown Doctors.
