Spiegel Zelt at Gluttony, Fri 2 Mar.
[CABARET/COMEDY – VIC]
GINGZILLA has a commanding presence on stage, not just because she is a 7ft ginger bearded drag queen, but because of her outstanding vocals, spot-on lip-sync, cool swagger and emotive facial expressions.
Glamonster VS The World was first performed at Adelaide Fringe in 2017 as a scratch performance, but still won a Weekly Fringe Award and the Overall Adelaide Fringe Innovation Award, which has then propelled GINGZILLA onto the festival circuit around the world.
GINGZILLA returns to the 2018 Adelaide Fringe in a bigger venue, with more technical enhancements, performing a show that is as tight as her tuck – there is really nothing to fault. If you love drag or want to celebrate ginger-pride then don’t miss GINGZILLA!
Set in a 1950’s drive-in movie GINGZILLA has projected herself into movies such as Godzilla, King Kong and Swamp Monster. Glamonster VS The World has a surprisingly deep and sometimes confronting message, highlighting the oppression of women and gender stereotypes in film, but life in general. Presented through song, lip-sync and physical theatre, it has the perfect mix of delivering the message, but still ensuring the show is hilarious and entertaining – a challenge for many writers and performers.
Grab your popcorn and buy your tickets now for this fierce drag queen!
