Guy Montgomery – My Brain Is Blowing Me Crazy

DRAMA LLAMA - RHINO ROOM - Wed 08 Mar Guy Montgomery is from New Zealand and a bloody joy. More than one person is here this evening because they have seen him on the New Zealand version of Taskmaster (highly recommended). I’ve seen bits of his stand up on the TV but this is the first time he has played in Adelaide. He is incredibly likeable right from the start. He makes sure his iPhone is recording “in case I say anything funny”, which is lucky because he very much did for the next hour. Great material and fantastic delivery. Whether talking about taking ketamine, pondering the reserve Bank, guys who play ‘The Man Card’ or being a step dad, Guy’s show is packed full of belly laughs and wry Kiwi humour. He at one point asked if there had ever been a King who was still a boy, somebody suggests Tutankhamen. How old was he? Eight and he ruled all of Egypt. And….was that recently or… His story about going to buy some pajamas was double over laughing hilarious.
