The Garden Of Unearthly Delights – Cupola, Tue 16 Feb
Melbourne comedian Harley Breen returns to the Adelaide Fringe with his advice on all matters sex, fatherhood and bad drug reactions. In the intimate setting of the Cupola, Harley takes cues from those ubiquitous ‘inspirational’ posters you’ve seen in offices (“Don’t give up!” “Hang in there!”) to recall his own life experiences, though on topics you won’t often hear about in the common workplace.
His enthusiasm and exuberance fill the stage, whether he is talking about the trials of parent-teacher conferences or the many surprises of a Thai massage. Follow his advice, or don’t. Just don’t mix your alcohol and hallucinogens.
Crude but still charming, Harley Breen: Smell The Penguins is a great act of stand-up comedy that anyone looking for a bit of adult humour will enjoy.
Harley Breen continues at The Garden Of Unearthly Delights – Cupola from 9.45pm until Sun 13 Mar.
