[COMEDY/Stand Up ~ SA PREMIERE ~ NT]

The Piglet at Gluttony, Fri 21 Feb.

KC Martin-Stone combines irreverence and genuine curiosity to explore aspects of religion, sex and death – sometimes all three at the same time!

KC’s career as a consultant archaeologist has given her insight into various death care practices, which she is delighted to share with the audience. Apart from the two more common ones in Western society – cremation and burial (aka smoking and non-smoking) – KC delves into mummification, excarnation, aquamation, and plastination.

KC shares tales of local indigenous customs as well as Tibetan sky burials, Papua New Guinea Highlands’ mummification practices (a la Weekend At Bernies), and being shot into space to become space junk after death.

Both entertaining and fascinating, I See Dead People is a must see for anyone with a curious and open mind.
