Fringe Ambassador And Comedian Kitty Flanagan Performs “Seriously?” At Royalty Theatre – Adelaide Fringe Review

Royalty Theatre, Fri Feb 13 From the moment Kitty Flanagan takes the stage, you become her best mate, her confidante, and her insider. She had the near-capacity audience laughing from start to finish sharing hilarious insight into her recent relationship with a cop, love of dishwashers, plans for ageing and the pros and cons of the internet. Particular kudos goes her vocal ability in instantly creating characters to punctuate her stories. The irritating shop assistants, polarised pet owners, salt-deprived old people and monotonic TV presenters were stand-outs. Peppered with excellent ideas for medical terminology reform and terrific comments on American romantic movies, Kitty Flanagan served up a sumptuous and satisfying feast of intelligent, tasty and irreverent comedy at its best. The song Middle Aged Lady (men got a mention too) performed with her guitar-wielding sister, Penny, added a delightful dessert to a thoroughly enjoyable show, showing why this highly talented, clever and world class comedian is rated amongst the best in our country.
