An Independent Theatre Production

Adelaide Premiere of the Critically Acclaimed Lost Property

Adelaide, SA — From March 13th to 16th, 2025, Adelaide’s Mercury Cinema will host Lost Property, an independent one-woman show written and performed by Amelia Dunn and co-written and directed by Tuia Suter. The production is part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival and marks the second run of the critically acclaimed play following its debut at North Melbourne’s Club Voltaire in November 2024.

A Thought-Provoking Take on Womanhood and Female Solidarity

Lost Property is a dramedy exploring the complexities of womanhood and female relationships through the lens of Alice – an unrelenting optimist on her morning tram commute. Blending absurdity and comedy with poignant reflections on solidarity, the play poses the question, “What do women truly owe each other?”

Featuring relatable anecdotes, quirky tram encounters, and heartfelt moments, Lost Property promises to resonate with audiences while shedding light on the challenges women face in their everyday lives.

Recognition and Future Plans

The production was recently accepted into the Australian Cultural Fund’s 2025 Boost Program, allowing the team to raise funds for an ambitious UK tour to London and the Edinburgh Fringe in July-August this year.

About the Creative Team

This is the third collaboration between Amelia Dunn and Tuia Suter, following Tuia’s successful stage play Powder Room – currently being adapted into a Screen Australia-funded web series – and their monologue series The Waiting Room, which premiered at the Melbourne Monologue Festival in 2023.
