LUMINOUS: A Mesmerising Visual Spectacle Wrapped In Neon – Adelaide Fringe Review

Gluttony's The Peacock, Fri Feb 13 LUMINOUS is an amazing visual spectacle. The show brings three separate art forms together in mesmerising fashion; body painting, a neon-lit performance and circus acrobatics. Each element of this act on its own would create a magnificent aesthetic experience. Put them all together and you’ve got one of the most engaging shows at the Fringe. Performers are artistically brought to life throughout the act with live body painting, becoming visible on the pitch-black stage over time. What follows is a remarkable treat for your eyes as each neon-lit artist seemingly floats through the air. Neon ball bouncing, juggling, hula hooping, dancing and gymnastic aerial skills are on display as all of them bring a unique talent to the act. Take out the UV lights and body paint and the circus elements would still stand alone as an incredible sight. One female performer in particular demonstrates some of the most ridiculous flexibility and body strength you will ever see during an individual set on stage.
