The Garden Of Unearthly Delights’ Deluxe, Tue Feb 17
You may remember Michael Griffiths from last year’s Fringe where he brought us the songs of Madonna and Annie Lennox. This year, he’s written a one-man show, where it is just him and his stories about his life and turning 40. Anybody close to Michael’s age will know every song, and provide the backup vocals to help him out!
He’ll take you back to remember what is was like listening to those things made of black plastic going round and round, to what it was like to be at school, falling in love for the first time with that singer from that band and plastering your walls with their posters and knowing every single word to every single song.
Michael performs some of those songs, and a sneaky one of his own while allowing you the privilege of finding out more about what brought him to the ripe old age of 40, although 50 is the new 30, right?
Michael may not know how to ‘internet bank’ but he sure knows how to entertain. You will not want him to stop singing, dancing and engaging you with his sparkling personality and his oh-so-sweet voice. Michael Griffiths in his one man show Adolescent is ‘chocolate on a stick.’ I think I might even go back again.
Michael Griffiths performs Adolescent at The Garden Of Unearthly Delights’ Deluxe until Sun Feb 15.
