Gluttony – The Piglet, Sat 13 Feb
It doesn’t matter how you laugh, even “if there’s a snorter in you,” come along and “let it out!” Mickey D followed a classic introduction with a multi-talented performance, combining his hilarious material with his own music and trademark, realistic sound effects. The crowd interaction was also a highlight right from the start and become a constant theme throughout the act. Clearly a seasoned comedian, Mickey D had several improvised exchanges with various audience members during his show and masterfully kept the crowd interested at all times.
From his new experiences with fatherhood, to life advice for both men and women, to relatable humour about local topics, Mickey D blends a unique flavour into a range of scenarios on his comedic menu! The on-point impressions of various cultures and crowd members (or even birds at times!) were also feature of the show. He fed off the banter and interaction from other people without breaking stride and the audience was tuned in from beginning to end.
This is an engaging hour of jokes that will make you laugh-out-loud, which Mickey D claims is important, because if you “don’t let that joy out of your mouth, it has escape from somewhere else eventually!”
