[MUSIC/Cabaret ~ AUSTRALIAN PREMIERE ~ NZL]

The Cornucopia at Gluttony, Sat 15 Feb.

During Adelaide Cabaret Festival 2019, the smooth and suave men of Modern Māori Quartet had audiences in tears with their heartstrings-pulling performances in Modern Māori Quartet: Two Worlds as they looked at life after death and the things that built their lives in the world of the living. The boys have returned for their inaugural Adelaide Fringe show, with only three day to sing and party in the family garage. A totally different setting and a couple of new faces, the Modern Maori Quartet will have you singing (and drinking) along with an uplifting free-for-all garage party like the ones they have back at home with family and friends in Aotearoa!

The cars have been put on the lawn, couches and old speakers that don’t work have moved into the garage and the party is just beginning. Starting with a couple of traditional Māori songs, it’s the magic of the harmonies and intentions that lift you up ready for the night ahead.

With the party in full swing, it’s so easy to sing along and get drawn into the fun and mischief – it is a party after all! It is BYO drinks – although the boys will happily share theirs with you – and time to let the good times roll! The on-stage banter is hilarious and the audience laughter is real.

There is one final show before the MMQ head back home, and you won’t want to miss this opportunity to see such awesome talent wrapped in a whole pile of fun with .just the right amount of cheeky.

Sing like no one can hear you, relax and enjoy the party – Chur!
