Producers Nook, Fri 12 Feb
Patrick Carl brings a lot more than comedy to the stage; this is a hilarious hour of real-world issues told through an unfiltered microphone. Carl provides the audience with an outrageously funny guide on “how to be fat”, the intricacies of Tinder, time travel, X-rated family conundrums and the in and outs of working the graveyard shift at On The Run.
This “baker/barista” (title of course depends on the appeal of customer he is talking to) also possess some uproarious improvisation skills, which he cleverly intertwined throughout his comically articulate storytelling. Keep in mind this might not be the act to bring your grandparents to (or the grandkids!), as no topic is off limits in Carl’s unique and eye opening show!
A diverse performer, who at one point “stretches himself to poignancy”, Carl will have you in stitches with his life-inspired tales and thoughts on the world. It all makes for an entertaining hour of laughter (with the potential for “cream cakes” after the show, complements of the “baker”). This is unfiltered storytelling at its finest!
