Fowler’s Live, Fri 10 Mar.

Rhys Nicholson has been performing stand-up comedy since 2009 and it is obvious why he has continued this career ever since. Nicholson is quick-witted, contemporary and absolutely hilarious! His wit is just as sharp as his preppy suit and bright red hair.Rhys Nicholson I'm Fine sq - Adelaide Fringe 2017 - The Clothesline

In his new show, I’m Fine, Nicholson covers past embarrassing stories, such as cheap drunk hook-ups, Tasmanian ghost tours and his inherited need to commit to situations regardless of how badly they are going. He covered topics around his own anxiety and other mental health issues in a way that was respectful, but also presented in a way for the audience to feel comfortable in laughing at his irrational perceptions and abstract thinking. Nicholson’s observations of the way his relationship has progressed over the seven years he has been with his partner and their visits together to sex shops were particularly hilarious tonight. The content was occasionally graphic, but accessible to diverse adult audiences regardless of age, sex and sexuality.

Nicholson is an engaging, hilarious comedian who is certainly worth checking out.
