Turkey Flat Vineyards, Sun Mar 15

Upon arrival at The Secret Garden Party, each person was given a special lanyard, so that as we collected our wine or food course, it was marked on our card; something that just made it easier for everyone.

All people needed was a rug or low chair as everything else was supplied including music, entertainment, food and drink. If you forgot your chair, there was plenty to go around. Oh, and the weather was perfect.

Music was supplied throughout the afternoon by Kaurna Cronin, Echo And The Empress and Holly Throsby. We heard the stories that informed us more about the songs and of travels on the road, the music played suited the laid back afternoon and everyone catching up with friends or just there with their new love or old love just enjoying each other and the surrounds and sounds.

Lawn games, like Jenga, Noughts and Crosses or Bocci were supplied by Turkey Flat Winery, and made for a nice distraction (if you wanted it) and there were a couple of winery tours to go on too.

Picnic food was catered by Tracy Collins; beautiful to look at and fantastic to eat. A job well done keeping everyone happy and full, no complaints that I heard and only empty plates to be seen.

We’ll be back next year – maybe we’ll see you there too.
