The Garden Of Unearthly Delights’ Umbrella Revolution, Wed Feb 18

By their own admission, this production of one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays is not for the purists, instead if you are happy being completely irreverent whilst watching this production, this cast will encourage you to be even more irreverent than that.

Bring your drinks with you, you’ll need them to keep up with the cast who start with beer in hand and move on to the vodka from there.

This company of actors perform Shotspeare maybe not as the Bard intended but certainly as the Bard would have enjoyed it! If you know the story of Romeo & Juliet, you will not get lost, as these actors perform with the gusto required in this true romp, and if you don’t know the story of Romeo & Juliet, it doesn’t matter – just drink up and enjoy the ride.

Each night, the script may be the same but the show will never be the same twice. There are ad-libs peppering the dialogue, impromptu dagger use, audience members screaming out ‘Shotspeare’ at will, which indicates a drinks break for all and you may even see a smidgen of girl on girl action.

For a fun, bawdy and completely irreverent, no holds BARD (get it Bard ?!) evening of fun, frivolity and a LOT of naughtiness – get along to Shotspeare. One of the most memorable performances of Romeo and Juliet I might ever see.
