Showgirl Addiction Takes The Stage At Producers Warehouse – Adelaide Fringe Review

Producers Warehouse, Thu Mar 6 These women could certainly start your addiction if you didn’t already have one! This evening we saw burlesque performed with more beads, satin, lace and feathers than I’ve ever seen on the one stage here in Adelaide before. From Astrological diva dances to Seashells and Pearls and yes, even Elvis entering the building, showgirls were everywhere. It was a full house of a lot of fans who have obviously seen these girls dance before and clearly they were addicted, I also saw at least 4 photographers that I counted, and then the rest of us, enjoying the art form before us. While not all of the acts may be to your taste, your taste will be sated sometime during the night with the show starting with a group number and then individual performances from each member, some of who are national award winners and seasoned burlesque and cabaret artists. There seemed to be a few hiccups with the show starting late and then a microphone switch part the way through the show and even a little dash on stage by the stage manager – but taking all of this into account – the show otherwise ran smoothly and will only get slicker with further performances.
