Gluttony – The Octagon, Fri 12 Feb
Australia’s magic industry has come of age with this cheeky extravaganza. The show grabs your attention from the start with eye candy, mystery and raw, thumping music livening up the crowd into a frenzied hilarious climax.
The impressive Christopher Wayne and Mike Tyler have great stage presence and sexy ass magic! They will have you laughing off your seats, or dancing on them (Ride My Pony), but never squirming in them. In no way is the show smutty; it deftly walks the line between being alluring and cheeky. No tall poppy arrogance here. And plenty of magical tricks, some you may have seen before, others will have you wondering ‘how did they do that?!’
The misty Octagon was filled with a bevy of beauties and a few beasts who were ready and willing to be teased and played with. Lots of audience par-tici-paaaation, with hilarious games and activities such as our old favourites ‘Pass-the-Penis’, and ‘Pin-the-card-on-the-Pinboard’ – definitely not child’s play.
These engaging, cheeky guys are quick witted and handsome – a winning combination! Their magic show will astound you, confuse you, and excite you. A smashing good time.
Karen Bailey and Terry Izatt
