The Garden Of Unearthly Delights – The Factory, Sun 14 Feb

At the world premiere of Tink Tank the creative and humorous duo from Bunk Puppets (Swamp Juice, Sticks Stones Broken Bones) took the audience on a delightful journey telling the story of Rooster, Cow, Baby and a Blowfly. Using shadow puppets, multitudes of props and sound effects to set the scene, they create the story of life on a farm. One can only imagine the time it took to set up the stage with all their bits and bobs to successfully pull off such a feat.

The props were all created using different pieces of rubbish, junk and household items but are imaginatively put together to project the characters of the story in shadows. Bunk Puppetshave certainly mastered the artistic innovation of shadow puppetry.

The highlight of the show was undoubtedly the last scene when the whole audience was provided 3D glasses to wear, initially leaving many scratching their heads. But as squeals of delight, possibly even fright, erupted from the audience when the shadows flew overhead and right into our faces, wonder quickly turned to captivation. Many audience members were even reaching out to touch the shadows that seemed to be ‘right there’.

As a delightfully, entertaining and dazzling array of shadow puppetry, Tink Tank is a must see for all ages.
