The Garden Of Unearthly Delights’ Vagabond, Sun Mar 8

It’s a Sunday night, but a long weekend Sunday night, and The Vagabond has sold out! And why wouldn’t it be? After all, it’s Wil Anderson they are all here to see. As one of Australia’s most prolific comedians, Anderson has been bringing a new show to Adelaide annually for the past 19 years; to the same place that he begins his yearly global tours.

Having taken 12 months or so off from presenting television’s Gruen to tour throughout the US, Anderson returns for the beginning of his 20th Fringe season armed with the quick wit of a fox and an endearing charm that his fans have come to love him for. He has an instant report with his audience and his sense of justice for human rights shows us the inner-workings of a true advocate and ‘speaker-outer of bad crap happening to good people’!

Political, intelligent, insightful, silly, Anderson’s comedy genius is undeniable, his audacity faultless, and his ability to take any singular moment or friendly hello to an audience member and turn it in to comedy gold is untouchable.

I can’t tell you what’s in the show – it’s completely improvised; he’s making this stuff up on the spot! He’s just bloody comedic amazement! That’s it, really!

“Happy International Women’s Day!” – Wil Anderson.
